ToggleAmong the rappers who have left their mark on the world, is there one who has managed to do so as much as Eminem? Probably not, as he quickly became one of the most popular musicians in the world after his emergence in the 90s.
Today, I will introduce popular songs (according to YouTube views) in a ranking format. The song introduction and videos are attached for the first 12 songs, and after that, the rest are summarized in a table, so please take a look there. (The data is current as of July 2024.)
1st place: Love the Way You Lie -2.8 billion views
A single cut from the Grammy Award-winning album Recovery (2010). It is a collaboration song with Rihanna, the world’s top female singer. Ranked No. 1 in the U.S.
Rihanna’s mournful voice and Eminem’s wild rap sing about the distorted love-hate between a man and a woman. Rihanna’s chorus melody is very impressive. It’s a dream song between superstars.
2nd place: Not Afraid – 1.8 billion views
Like No. 1 Love the Way You Lie, this is a single cut from the album “Recovery” (2010).
This was released as a lead single before the album was released. It is the first appearance No. 1. Some people say a lot of things, but I’m not scared. It’s an Eminem-esque song that says I’m going to do it no matter what anyone says.
3rd place: Without Me -1.8 billion views
The first single from Eminem’s third album, The Eminem Show, which became the world’s best-selling album in 2002.
He sings that the hip-hop world can’t do without me after all. It’s one of the catchiest songs in Eminem’s song, and your body will naturally get into the rhythm. The PV also has a lot of sense of humor. Personally, it’s one of my favorite Eminem songs.
4th place: Rap God – 1.4 billion views
It is a single from the album The Marshall Mathers LP 2, released in 2013.
As the song’s title suggests, Eminem sings, “I feel like a rap god.” The great thing about this song is the fast rap in the second half of the song.
It was recognized by Guinness World Records as the “hit single with the most words”.
5th place: Lose yourself -1.3 billion views
Eminem’s vocal writing skill is part of what made him one of the most prominent observers of the first decade of the twenty-first century. “Lose Yourself” has the double gift of being an inspirational speech and guide. Em instructs you to “lose yourself at this moment,” while the tone motivates you to move your feet. Perfect for a mid-rhythm
6th place: Mockingbird -1 Billion views
A single from their fourth album, Encore, released in 2004. Unlike the usual radical lyrics, this song is about his love for his daughter Hailie. Mom and Dad are telling their daughter that she has a lot of things going on, but don’t worry, it’s going to be okay.
The sad piano backing track is also impressive. Some people say this is their favorite of Eminem’s songs.
7th place: when I am gone – 1 Billion views
I included this track because it’s more of a ballad than anything else, which is unusual for Eminem. But don’t think he’s gone soft because his speech is still as powerful as ever, and even though his delivery is regular, he continues to get his message across. It’s full of emotion and he’s not afraid to show it.
8th place: The Monster – 937 Million views
Like Rap God at No. 5, it is a single from the album “The Marshall Mathers LP 2” (2013). It is a collaboration song with Rihanna.
This fast-paced, rock-inspired song was composed by the then-largely unknown female singer-songwriter Bebe Rexha. This song led to Bebe Rexa signing with the label and making her debut.
The song is about the anxiety and struggle of Eminem, who has gained fame but has lost his privacy. I’m friends with monsters.
9th place -The Real Slim Shady -936 million views
The lead single from the album “The Marshall Mathers LP” was released in 2000. “Slim Shady” is the name of a clown who exists in Eminem as an alternate personality.
It is a setting where “Slim Shady” says whatever he wants on behalf of Eminem. From the lyric content that disses celebrities to several lawsuits. Including such controversy, it can be said to be a representative song of Eminem’s early days. The catchy chorus is fun and I love this song.
10th place – Stan -726 million views
The song is haunting, and the addition of Dido to the song reinforces this feeling. It’s dark and oppressive, a feeling further reinforced by the track’s abrupt and dramatic ending. Emotional and raw, this song encourages you to explore the darker side of humanity.
11th place – No Love (feat. Lil Wayne) -677 million views
A single from their sixth album “Recovery” released in 2010. It is a collaboration song with American rapper Lil Wayne.
Please listen to this song along with the PV video. It’s a powerful and cool song with no half-hearted empathy, a sense of elation leading up to the climax at the end, and no humor or pranks.
12th place: Godzilla (feat. Juice WRLD) – 662 million views
A single from the album “Music to Be Murdered By” was released in 2020. The song is a tribute to the rapper Juice World, who died the previous year at 21. The song features the fastest high-speed lap in Eminem’s history.
13th place: Like toy soldiers -463 Million views
This song is deep and wicked in its lyrics. However, the tempo and hook are exceptional and Eminem draws you in to some of his best stories. The song is full of atmosphere that you should let yourself be carried away by, even if you resist. As a result, it is able to generate more emotions than you thought in a few minutes.
14th place : Beautiful -459 Million views
From the Relapse album, this track allows Eminem to slow things down to his usual frantic pace. Aggression is absent here, and his flow is gentle. It is intriguing to hear him use this style as it is very different from his usual approach.
15th place : Cleaning out my closet – 413 Million Views
This song is quite haunting in its approach. She oscillates between sides of anger and selfishness, but Eminem is content to spit out her words with brutal honesty. He tells you everything he feels about his mother, and it’s a bit off-putting, but the way he composes the track is great.

Eminem’s FAQ
So far, I have introduced Eminem and popular songs, but from now on, I will introduce some frequently asked questions.
Which song made Eminem famous?
In 2002, the song “Lose Yourself” for the movie “8 Mile” in which he starred is considered to be his most famous song.
Even if you don’t know Eminem, I’m sure you’ve heard it at least once. This song shows how he stands as a rapper. It is an inspiration to anyone willing to take on a challenge in life.
It has been no. 1 on the U.S. charts for 12 consecutive weeks and was the first hip-hop song to win an Oscar for Best Original Song. Barbra Streisand presented the Oscars to Eminem, Jeff Bass, and Luis Resto at the 75th Academy Awards in 2003. Additionally, “Lose Yourself” also won Grammy Awards for Best Rap Song and Best Rap Solo Performance.
What is Eminem’s most controversial song?
Well. I can’t mention a single song. There is more than one song that caused controversy. Cuz, he talks directly about controversial and personal topics in his songs.
- The first is Stan.
The song tells the story of an imaginary fan obsessed with Eminem. Parts of the lyrics were censored due to the violence, such as the young man putting his pregnant girlfriend in the trunk of the car and driving wildly.
- The next one is Brain Damage, which dates back to Eminem’s teenage years.
If you are a frequent listener of Eminem’s songs, you may know that in songs like Superman, Warning, and When the Music Stops, he talks about his relationship with Mariah Carey in 2001.
Do you know? The song “Warning” even includes recordings of messages Mariah left on her cell phone.
However, Carey has repeatedly denied the relationship when questioned by the media.
- Another controversial yet lovely song
You know, Eminem’s songs are usually not family-friendly because of the obvious content. However, I can mention “Mockingbird” as a song that you can share with kids.
This heartfelt song from the album “Encore” is about Eminem’s relationship with his daughters. It is emotional and suitable for all age groups.
The song talks about a difficult time in Eminem’s life, his relationship with his daughters, and his lifelong struggle with issues of motherhood. In it, he openly expresses his feelings and experiences, making it one of the most controversial and talked about songs of his career.
Is it true that his mother filed a lawsuit against some songs?
Yes. It’s hard to imagine. But it happened. Eminem did not have a good relationship with his mother, so he mentioned it in songs like Cleanin’ Out My Closet, My Mom, Marshall Mathers and Headlights.
Enraged by these things, the mother, Debbie Nelson, filed a $10 million lawsuit alleging that Eminem’s songs defamed her image. However, Eminem won it.
